now that i have managed to manifest the tunnel skirt in cotton jersey (the skirt above) by wishing for it, i am going to see if i can manifest the amazing skirt in cotton jersey by wishing for it. here goes: oh how i wish that the amazing skirt came in cotton jersey. p.s. preferably black cotton jersey.

mini tropical heat wave dress

every year, no matter how much i may look forward to fall weather, and, with its arrival, the return of layering clothes, i always wish for at least one or two more opportunities before september comes to a close to wear some summer outfits. my home city experienced a two-day heat wave recently. on one of these two days, i put on my sooo summer tropical heat wave dress.

the first day after labour day skirt (and jacket)

it is unusual that on the first day after labour day it is actually cool enough to wear something from some autumn/winter collection. well, this year, the first day after labour day was cool enough to wear something from some autumn/winter collection. so there was an added spring (my apologies) to my step on this year's first day after labour day.

how to make it different (if even slightly) top

on the day that i wore this outfit, i woke up, ruled out a planned outfit (which, in retrospect, i should have gone with because it would have been more appropriate for moving offices), tried out a brand spanking new outfit (which i felt guilty about wearing before autumn officially arrived because it is from the new autumn/winter collection) and finally decided that i would be most comfortable wearing what i had worn for the past two days. "really, the same thing?" asked the mini-me with horns and a tail sitting on one of my shoulders. "there is nothing wrong with wearing the same thing," countered the mini-me with the halo sitting on my other shoulder. "yes, probably, no one will even notice," jeered the mini-me with horns and a tail. the mini-me with horns and a tail won this round, and i began thinking of how i could make wearing the same thing somehow wearing something different if even just slightly. and then i had it: add the top. even the mini-me with the halo had to admit that it was not bad, not bad at all.

my current favourite skirt

i liked the result when i combined this dress (and jacket) with a black tunnel skirt.  but when i combined this dress (and jacket) with the amazing skirt, well, the result was (at least in my opinion) simply amazing.
